#Absinthe Brun. Much like a strong whiskey this really needed a splash of water to be drinkable. Still feel like it would do well to have aged for as long as a whiskey, if that’s what they were going for. And, again, not unpleasant but something I’d seek out.
This shit has numbed my taste buds to the point where I can’t even feel the burn of the wasabi peas I’ve been shoveling in my face.
#Absinthe Brun? There are times when an idea seems flawless to succeed, like putting members of great bands together to create a superband but the end result isn’t quite right… or any good. Despite the potential and talent the end product doesn’t even come close to the greatness of the parts… Audioslave.
The same can be said here. Though I’d rather drink this than listen to Lulu (or, well, even Metallica or Lou Reed separately, bad example) it’s neither a dynamic absinthe or oak aged enough to be a freakish whiskey.
I may try a glass neat or on the rocks just to try the suggestion, but at 126 proof, that may be a kicker.
And now to enjoy something new (after an impatient pour) #Absinthe #marteau
